Dog waste
Please pick up your dog's poo and keep our lovely village clean and safe for everyone!
The Parish Council is arranging with Lichfield District Council to install more waste bins as there is a real problem of mess at the moment around the streets and near the Walled Garden.
We ask everyone to help bag and dispose of their pet's waste and if there is no bin nearby or it is full, please take the bag home!
Thank you everyone!

October update
The Parish Council meeting began with an update and discussion about drainage at the 7 Acres site and risk of future flooding onto adjacent properties.
The County Council are working with the contractors and it was agreed that our District Cllr Harry Warburton would also update the District Council.
An application has been made to HS2 for a grant for playground refurbishment to benefit the community at a time when the area is disrupted by construction.
As part of a long term plan to improve the facilities at the Sportsfield a survey will shortly go out so residents can tell us what improvements they'd like to see there.
Many more topics were discussed - please see our Minutes or better still come along to the next meeting on 14th November.

Feedback needed on the future of our District
Together we will create a brighter future for our district.
Lichfield District Council are committed to collaborating closely with our communities to understand your priorities, your needs and ideas.
Together we will co-create a vision for the future of our district – we’re calling it Lichfield 2050 - and by working closely we will achieve far more than we would if we try to do it on our own.
We want to know what you think Lichfield District should be like in 2050 and what steps we should take now, and in the coming years, to make sure that our vision is realised.
To do this we need your help, we need the feedback from students, teachers, employees, parents and networks to help us shape Lichfield 2050. Lichfield 2050 will be our shared vision for the future of our district, and Together we will co-author the ambitions, strategies and plans to reach it.
Together we will make it the best place to live, work and play.
Click on the link and take part in the brief survey and let us know your thoughts. Every opinion counts as Together we …. build the future of our district.

Elford Sportsfield and Pavilion Improvements Project
Thnak you to everyone who took part in our survey about the pavilion and how it can be improved. There were lots of useful ideas.
We can use this information to help us apply for funding to improve this facility for our community.
Car Crime
Residents should be aware that there have been recent attempts in Elford to steal vehicles.
This has been reported to the police but please also consider upgrading your own security.
A steering lock is a simple effective deterrent or steering wheel locks can also help.
Some vehicles can be vulnerable to relay attacks: thieves use a device to pick up the keyless fob’s signal from within a property and ‘relay’ it back to the car allowing them to unlock it and drive away. A faraday pouch which can be bought cheaply can prevent this. Even putting key fobs in the microwave will block the signals or block the keyless car in with another one if you can.
